Koko Dunda is a textile tradition: DEÑC-MITI is neither made from this fabric nor covered with fabric bonded to its surface. The artisan adapts its folding and resist-dyeing techniques to leather.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe leather is prepared and softened, then folded or crumpled and secured to create areas that take up the colour differently. The dye is applied using a process suited to leather, without prolonged immersion in a hot bath. After drying in the shade, a protective finish helps stabilise the shades. Slight differences in line and intensity are part of this handwork.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe placement of the pattern and the colour combinations vary from piece to piece. Purple and ochre, turquoise and natural leather, coral and green, cobalt or fuchsia make up seven distinct objects.
