JP Mika transposes onto fabric the vibrant faces from his BISENGO series. Lamine Kouyaté, founder of Xuly-Bët, enhances these works through his mastery of Parisian and New York tailoring.
Each numbered piece is part of an exclusive capsule collection of 65 oversized t-shirts, 15 of which are offered here.

JP MIKA
Born in Kinshasa in 1980, JP Mika is a key figure on the Congolese art scene. Represented by Galerie MAGNIN-A (Paris), he has exhibited at the Fondation Cartier, Fondation Louis Vuitton, MoMA, Smithsonian, 1-54 (London, Marrakech, New York), Art Brussels, etc.His vibrant portraits, often painted on wax backgrounds, blend memory, identity pride, and contemporary aesthetics.
LAMINE KOUYATÉ
Founder of Xuly-Bët, Lamine Kouyaté established, as early as the 1990s, a style combining textile upcycling, bold silhouettes, and street energy. A pioneer of upcycling, he is recognized for his Afrofuturist and feminist creations, at the crossroads of Paris and New York.
