Thick wool loops, a round shape and a gentle gaze: ARCHIE is an owl soft toy hand-knitted in Kenya from bouclé wool. Its plush texture and soft volume invite cuddles. Available in four shades, blue, khaki, brown and marl grey, and two sizes: Small for little hands and Large for a more substantial companion. Signed by its knitter, it is a piece to give and pass on.

Each piece is knitted and sewn by hand in Kenya by the women of Kenana Knitters, a social enterprise based in Njoro. The wool comes from small Kenyan farms that do not practise mulesing. Depending on the colour, the wool is left undyed or coloured with plant-based dyes or conventional azo- and cadmium-free dyes.

Each piece is signed by the woman who knitted it. Small variations in colour or shape make every soft toy unique: a piece to give, treasure and pass on.

Why we love it (and baby does too)

A gentle everyday companion, this soft toy is there for baby at every stage of their early development:

A source of comfort during separation or anxious moments
Helps baby soothe themselves, with something to cuddle or nibble for reassurance
Offers emotional support, encouraging the expression of feelings and the development of empathy
Encourages independence, helping baby cope with transitions and get used to sleeping in their own bed.
