Colour, balance and expression: UMBALA brings together three contemporary ceramic plates in orange, yellow and green, shaped and painted by hand by acclaimed South African ceramicist Clementina van der Walt. Three stackable diameters, 18, 23 and 28 cm, to layer into a graphic composition on the table.

Each plate is shaped and painted by hand, with slight variations in form, colour and pattern.

Pair it with the KIMA trio of small bowls on a DUNDA tablecloth, bringing studio ceramics and textiles together.

Hand wash recommended, or use the dishwasher’s glassware or delicate programme

Ceramics made entirely by hand in South Africa by ceramic artist Clementina van der Walt in her Cape Town studio.

Pair them with more neutral or vintage tableware to enliven your table and create a graphic contrast.

Preparing your order

Orders are prepared within 1–2 working days, except during special periods. We dispatch from Belgium, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
We use environmentally responsible packaging: cardboard and kraft paper, keeping plastic to a minimum.

Delivery

Delivery to Belgium and other EU countries usually takes 2–5 working days after dispatch, except during special periods.
Free delivery on orders of €50 or more to Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
Free delivery on orders of €200 or more to our other EU destinations.
Below these thresholds, charges depend on the destination and the weight and size of the parcel. The amount is shown before you confirm your order.
For deliveries within the EU, prices include VAT and there are no customs charges to pay.

Returns

You have 14 days after receiving your order to request a return using the contact form or your customer account, followed by a further 14 days to send the items back.
Returns from Belgium are free. For returns from our other delivery destinations, a flat fee of €8 is deducted from your refund.
If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, Studio Matongé covers the full return cost, regardless of your country.
We always provide a return label, so you do not have to pay any return charges upfront.
