Designed for cats and small dogs, and for anyone who loves beautiful materials, MNYAMA is a round pet bed hand-knitted in Kenya in the natural colours of undyed wool. Naturally soft, breathable and temperature-regulating, the wool keeps your companion comfortable while blending quietly into your home. Choose S, with an outer diameter of 48 cm, or M, 60 cm. A handcrafted piece signed by its knitter.
Knitted and sewn by hand by the women of Kenana Knitters, a social enterprise founded in 1998 by Patricia Nightingale in Njoro, in Kenya’s Rift Valley. Created to provide a market for rural women spinning wool at home, it now enables several hundred craftswomen to earn a living from their skills. The wool comes from a mix of local sheep breeds, Merino, Hampshire Down and Dorper, raised without mulesing.
Each piece is signed by the woman who knitted it. Small variations in colour or shape make your piece unique: lasting craftsmanship to pass on.

Care
- Dry cleaning recommended.
- Can be machine-washed on a cold wool cycle in a laundry bag.
- Lay flat to air dry. Do not tumble dry.

Preparing your order
- Orders are prepared within 1–2 working days, except during special periods. We dispatch from Belgium, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
- We use environmentally responsible packaging: cardboard and kraft paper, keeping plastic to a minimum.
Delivery
- Delivery to Belgium and other EU countries usually takes 2–5 working days after dispatch, except during special periods.
- Free delivery on orders of €50 or more to Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
- Free delivery on orders of €200 or more to our other EU destinations.
- Below these thresholds, charges depend on the destination and the weight and size of the parcel. The amount is shown before you confirm your order.
- For deliveries within the EU, prices include VAT and there are no customs charges to pay.
Returns
- You have 14 days after receiving your order to request a return using the contact form or your customer account, followed by a further 14 days to send the items back.
- Returns from Belgium are free. For returns from our other delivery destinations, a flat fee of €8 is deducted from your refund.
- If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, Studio Matongé covers the full return cost, regardless of your country.
- We always provide a return label, so you do not have to pay any return charges upfront.
