Kenana Knitters is a social enterprise founded in 1998 by Patricia Nightingale in Njoro, in Kenya’s Rift Valley. It brings together several hundred women knitters and spinners, drawing on textile skills passed down locally. The wool comes from a mix of locally raised breeds—Merino, Hampshire Down and Dorper—reared without mulesing. Depending on the model, colours are natural, plant-dyed or made with conventional dyes free from azo compounds and cadmium. Each piece is signed by the woman who knitted it.

Shades may vary slightly from one piece to another.

Its large, plump head makes it an inviting rug for reading or daydreaming.

Pair it with HECTOR, our sheep soft toy, for a playful country feel that children love.
