The wide variety of NYINGI cushion cover patterns alone sums up the pictorial and symbolic richness of traditional bogolans.
Crosses, diamonds, zigzags, dots, stripes of all sizes are assembled here on each of the bands that make up the bogolan to create a strong and original graphic combination.

The bold choice of orange to make these designs brings a breath of fresh air to the patterns traditionally used.

A true concentrate of the textile art of Mali, the NYINGI cover comes to energize the plain pieces of our collection of bogolans such as CADDAAN or KIVU .

The NYINGI cushion cover by Studio Matongé is handmade in Belgium from 100% organic cotton bogolan fabrics, spun, woven and dyed by hand in Mali in the Ségou region. Learn more.

- The incomparable texture of hand-spun organic cotton.
- Our cotton is as close as possible to its natural state. Unbleached, rinsed with water and dyed using natural, vegetable or mineral pigments, it can still sometimes contain small fragments of cotton plane in its weaving.
